The Telecommunication & Regulatory Authority (TRA) has set plans to further develop Oman’s broadband, high-speed Internet and mobile applications with the aim of attracting foreign investment.




During 2012, the total revenue for Oman’s telecom sector reached US$1.92bn

Oman’s fixed broadband grew by 30.4% in 2014. The mobile broadband also grew by 32.1% compared to 15.4% for the data services. The consolidated revenue of the two key telco operators, Omantel and Ooredoo, rose to US$1.92bn from US$1.80bn in 2013.
